This is a poll I saw at the Popular Science website. I know nothing more about it other than what you see here.

"Would you eat meat grown in a laboratory dish as a way to save animals and conserve resources?"
Give petty people just a little bit of power and watch how they misuse it! You can't silence the self doubt, can you?

No. But then I wouldn't be conserving resources because I'm veggie anyway.

I wouldn't necessarily eat meat made in the lab to save animals or resources, but could see the benefit for better tasting, better quality meat.

Same here. Wouldn't eat meat grown in a lab dish; but wouldn't be not eating it in order to save animals or conserve resources, either.

Certainly.

Industrialized meat production is such a huge resource hog and environmental burden. I don't have a craving for killing animals, either, so if the grown meat is healthy and tasty then sure, why not.

It can't be unhealthier than the crap that passes for industrial meat nowadays, especially poultry, anyway.

Not for those reasons, but if it was cheaper or had health benefits why not?

if it was proven safe and tasted good, ok, maybe so. But I might feel uncomfortable about it, kinda like I do while eating todays GE foods.

I would give it a try (providing there are no health risks involved). Though I'm not even sure wether I still like the taste or not.

Anything that would do away with factory farming and industrialized meat for good gets my vote.

Have you been touched by his noodly appendage?

I prefer to eat natural grown meat.

Being a veggie for so long, I don't think I'd ever want to taste the crap again.

No. But 90% of the meat I eat is non-hormone, non-AB, Prime organic. It tastes so much better than the Select and Choice crap sold at most supermarkets.
