Personally, I would like to see something like the iMate series with a Mac backend and even better iPod/Mac based design scheme. At the moment I am using an iMate, but sometimes its just unstable or hard to manage.
Would you like to have a Mac OS X based PDA with mobile capabilities (smartphone) and if so what features would you like to see on it?
Personaly I would like to see:
- advanced synchronization via iSync
- integrated airport
- the iPod wheel
- cocoa for programming applications so developers can make full apps for the pda or mini add-on apps for sync reasons and so on.
- GPRS
- a slick Macish design
- quality phone sound
You?

Lets hope there is My only beaf with the iMate is that I cant install apps from the Mac, at least most of them if they havent got cab files or can be extracted via PocketMac/Missing Sync. Id like to for example have a Delicious Library mini app on it and so on

I would love to see an iNewt, but it'll never happen. The PDA was Scully's legacy at Apple, thus Jobs killed it. Even if there was a large enough market it wouldn't be made. But I think if Apple could make a light weight OS X for a mobile thin client PDA that'd be awesome. Imagine using over AirPort the processing power of your PowerMac while sitting on the couch with a lil thing not much bigger than your average PDA. You could even do things like tell programs running on your Power Mac to do certain things, say run a batch process in photoshop by telling it to from your PDA. Browse the web, select tunes for iTunes etc. And then have a full feature PDA when out and about... that said, again, it'll never happen.

Would you really want Mac OS on your phone? Apple doesn't know anything about human interface guidelines anymore. Imagine what the phone would be like: it would have a little dock at the bottom that keeps changing size and jumping around, and there would be tiny windows everywhere because Apple doesn't believe in having a full-screen window or application.
While the OS itself would be stable, apps would crash all the time and the spinning beachball of death would show up whenever you want to make a call,
scrolling and re-sizing would be choppy,
the phone would only have one button,
you will need to dial numbers using a clickwheel,
the battery will cost $400 to replace,
it will get a million scratches after you keep it in your pocket for one day,
and worst of all you will only be able to call other Apple smartphones.

The newton OS was incredible, the hardware was too large.
