It seems that after Argentina mined parts of the Falkland Islands in that little spat with Britain a few years back, there are minefields that they haven't bothered clearing yet. Penguins are too light to trigger the landmines, so they have taken to cavorting though the minefields away from human interference. Oh, if only Bloom County were still in print!
