Once the Xbox 360 comes out, will they still make new games for the original Xbox, do you suppose? Also, I'm in the awkward position of considering, say, NBA Live 2006 for original Xbox when there will be version for the 360 right around the corner.
Thoughts?

Not sure about next year, but there are a lot of really promising Xbox games coming out this holiday season. Enough that I'm wondering if I should wait on buying a 360.
I don't think Microsoft or any of it's developers have anything planned for next year, but you can bet on getting a lot of PS2 ports and some other 3rd party stuff.

I'm thinking the same thing, With NBA Liver 2006, NBA 2K6, The Matrix: Path of Neo, Ultimate Spider-Man, and probably others due out for Xbox, the classic Xbox console still seems to have a lot of life in it. And have you seen the prices for the Xbox 360??? Yikes!

Personally, I'm waiting to read the reviews of the launch games before getting the 360.
Perfect Dark is the game I'm most interested in, and if Rare nails it then they have a sale. If it gets delays or gets mediocre reviews (anything less then 9.5s) then I'm going to wait.

They where still releasing PS1 games for years after the PS2 came out, so I would have thought so.
The thing is that Sony continued selling & developing the PS1 (they made that small version that could be used with an optional LCD screen) after they released the PS2, so It many depend on the plans MS has for the current Xbox.

I don't think we'll see support like that for the Xbox. I think there will be enough to keep a casual gamer with an Xbox happy for a year or so and then probably stop as soon as the PS3 hits.

The 360 might support that Xbox game with backwards compatibility. In the next month or 2 you will find a million used Xbox's on ebay for next to nothing.

I think it's already been stated that this aint gona happen. Remember the 360 is a totally different console (the Xbox has roots from a PC, the 360 more scratch built).
