Obviously all our favourite computer brand is Apple. But what about clothing? Do Mac users have a common taste in clothing or do we dress completely different? What is your favourite clothing brand? Select one or tell us which brand you prefer.

For her: Victoria's Secret, Donna Karen (not DKNY).

For him: Versace, Marks and Spencer, Levi's, Tesco, Her Majesty's Forces.

Whatever fits and is reasonably priced. I try not to pay extra to advertise someone's product, just to be "cool."

While in working in Asia, I found it pretty affordable to have dress shirts tailor-made. Great fit and cheaper than store bought in the States. Also, I try and avoid being an advertisement for any clothes makers (though I do make exceptions such as my sports team's jersey). I'm also a fan of Levis and Dockers for pants and Nikes for sneakers. Italian leather for dress shoes. And Oakleys for sunglasses, so I guess I'm a brand whore in the long run after all.

Pretty useless list, since it is way to German-centric. Most of these you can hardly get in the US.

I selected a wide variety of international brands. I guess you can get all or at least most of them in the US. I even included American Apparel for the American people in this forum here.

Well... for work its typically Nautica, Geoffrey Beene, or whatever else fits and looks appropriate (all from discount/outlet places) - I actually like Nautica suites a lot... they seem to fit me very well.

Outside of work - I'll take a pair of Levi's (or basketball shorts) and a tee shirt (Whatever I can find). I also have a HUGE collection of nike golf attire for my weekend hobby.... always shop at the nike outlet.

I don't go for brands, I get whatever fits me, and whatever is fairly cheap. I'm 6'6" and have size 13 (UK size) feet, so I have enough trouble getting jeans and shoes as it is.

Look after my manor, or I will bum you, literally, to death.

This is about how my list would look like to. Just gotta add True Religion jeans. I'm loving those right now. Plus Express for the disposable work clothes.

Well, you obviously haven't been in the US lately.
Otherwise, you would have included brands GAP, Old Navy, Levi's, Polo / Ralph Lauren, Nike etc.

As I said, nice try, but not useful.

I intentionally let out Levi's because they are a trousers only company and Nike because they are a shoes and sportswear only company. GAP is a retailer not a clothing brand. I have never heard of "Old Navy".

Why don't you compile a list of internationally known clothing brands that appeal to Mac users if you know everything better?

Well it helps to have a close friend who works at Nordstroms and gets 33% off plus digging around at Nordstrom Rack or Off Sacks 5th has yielded me a couple of nice pairs.

Not true. You can get almost ANYTHING from Nike. And you see many wear it.

Because it's useless. Too many options.

Just look at the number of brands Amazon lists FOR MEN.
Around 300!!! only for starting letter A . There is no end to it. How do you expect to reduce this to 10 brands and get a representative picture.

I like my CK jeans, Polo/RL/Kenzo sweaters ... pretty much anthing that is good quality, will last me a while, isn't too extremely expensive, looks "timeless" (as far as that's possible) and doesn't have any clearly visible labels tacked onto it.

No it's not. GAP is indeed a brand, Old Navy is a cheaper GAP, and generally crappy in my experience.

I tend to buy jeans at GAP, simply because they fit. I buy t-shirts and polo shirts from American Apparel because I like their quality and philosophy - and they cut their larger sizes slim which works for me, I am tall and slim. Normally anything that's XXL is cut like a freaking tent. I won't wear anything that has visible branding on it, I am not a billboard.
Last year I had some shirts and a suit tailor made and I think I'll stick with that from now on, income permitting. It makes a huge difference. If I had the cash I would have a bespoke tailor, a shoemaker and a hatmaker. That would make me very happy.

I voted other. Don't have a favorite brand. Being 6' 8" it's whatever brand that fits and is a reasonable price.

when i was in high school/college i used to be big into clothes - nike, adidas, mecca, tommy, karl kani - but i have kind of outgrown buying clothes - anything nice and cheap and that fits me right - my wife hates that i still have some of my baggy clothes

So the poll result is that a majority of Mac users likes HUGO BOSS clothes. I didn't expect that, but it clearly shows that Mac users value quality and style in clothing as much as they do with computers.

Not quite sure where you're reading the Hugo Boss thing in, as looks from here like it has only 3 votes, to a whopping 35 for "other." I myself have exactly one criterion on which I judge clothing: it must be comfy.
