Eh, you never know what some loser will pay for one of her used g-strings.

Probably more than she is willing to shell out.

Plus, they just had a kid. And it already needs a porsche.

Eug - point taken.

I didn't mean it that way.

The truth be told? I was thinking of MacNStein. When the tsunami hit he gave something like $20,000 or something like that to the relief effort. It was a large amount. (Not trying to embarass him but I remember thinking, "What a cool guy.")

Anyway, maybe she's donating the clothes that she knows she will never fit into again. She gained a LOT of weight with this baby!

Quit it. People give what they feel they should, no more, no less. They have to live with their choices and it's no one's place to browbeat anyone for their decisions in charitable contributions... free will, etc..

At least Britney is doing something.

600000 pound sterling is well over a million dollars. That is apparently what Britney Spears donated directly in the weeks after Katrina.

The amount for the grants she gave is $175000 for Operation Home Delivery and $75000 for the East Baton Rouge School System.

Those amounts are on top of the possible proceeds from auctions of her bras, bikinis etc.

Maybe you can contact her accountants about the total sum of her contributions and to verify that this money is actually paid but -just from going by stories in the press- the amounts she apparently contributed don't look cheap to me.

I don't care for her music or her antics either but apparently most of her relatives live in the storm area and she initially had no idea about some of their whereabouts or their situation. Your criticism is ill-informed and even callous.

Every single one of the celebrities you've mentioned on these boards so far has in fact contributed substantially to various hurricane relief efforts. All you have to do is a simple google news search to confirm this for each name you've mentioned so far. Why do you consistently start threads to belittle the relief efforts of these PEOPLE?

"Even one of her bra's, the eBay auction site showed."

The image this sentence conjured up was one of a sweat drenched, smelling of garbage and booze (near the underarm area), with brown stains. Filthy white trash. Put this bi*ch out of her misery already.

A friend of mine's husband works at MS. He used to be in a lot of executive meetings in which Bill Gates was present. One of the managers piped up one day to ask why he was forced to share a room with another manager on business trips.

Bill Gates answered by saying that he himself also shares a room when he goes on business trips for MS.

Talk about a career limiting move by that manager... Indeed, that guy went nowhere in the company.

I didn't know Gates travelled coach though. In fact, I thought he didn't.

It was widely laughed at about 5 years ago and my co-worker sat next to him in coach for an 8 hour flight. Cheap bastard.

Yeah, well, let's just hope HE doesn't donate his bikini and bra.

Hmmm... Not even business class?

Anyways, the way I figure it, he's setting an example for his employees. If he sits in coach, so must everyone else. Have you ever seen how much money investment types spend? Even low end schmucks in their 20s who work for investment companies fly business class everywhere, eat at 5 star restaurants, and don't share hotel rooms... and bill everything to the client.

Well, it's changing somewhat though. Things are tighter these days. Still, the amount of money spent sometimes on stuff like this is just enormous. Mind you, when I'm given those perks, I take 'em too.

But does he do it on personal trips as well? If so, that's simply asinine.

Bill is a nice guy.

We've had sushi with him at Angel's Thai on Capital HIll in Seattle with him a few times.

He drives a Lexus and lives modestly and he really is a nice person. To be honest, he reminds me of a big teenager when he gets going. He's ascerbic and can be extremely funny.

Owning an island with the most expensive house isn't modest.

Seriously, they're not as expensive as you'd think. For example:

Most people are basically nice. Nice to know that Bill is one of them. Thank you Cody.
