I just got back from the toilet, as you might have guessed, I have a book under my arm. For generations, men, women, and teenagers have taken to a favorite passtime while pooping. We all enjoy good books. What is your preference while you relax and let off a "number two".

Today while on the can I was reading from chapter 4 of "Care of the soul - A guide for cultivating depth and sacredness in everyday life" by Thomas Moore. John Bradshaw, author of "Homecoming" writes on the cover "I soulfully recommend it without reservation".

I have also been known to read from "Bob Dylan - writings and drawrings (this one is rather hard to find) and yesterday while pooping I had a read from "How to win friends and Influence People" by Dale Carnegie.

The Problem of Pain. It's one of the best dadgum books you'll ever read.
"Everything's so clear to me now: I'm the keeper of the cheese and you're the lemon merchant. Get it? And he knows it.
That's why he's gonna kill us. So we got to beat it. Yeah. Before he let's loose the marmosets on us."

I enjoyed The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night the other night, but, no, I didn't finish it in one sitting.
When you were young and your heart was an open book, you used to say "live and let live."
But if this ever changing world, in which we live in, makes you give in and cry, say "live and let die."

Does it make anyone else uncomfortable to think that any one of us could be squeezing a log out as we reply to a post?

Back home we had "The Bathroom Book" vols. I and II. Usually I just read whatever book I'm on at the moment. Right now I'm going through The Chronicles of Narnia.

Nothing, not there that long. Although my wife has a daily calendar card that I look at. Has a picture of a dog. Along with a one liner of information.

I'm currently in the middle of the Pepto-Bismol label, good stuff.

Give petty people just a little bit of power and watch how they misuse it! You can't silence the self doubt, can you?

They wanted me to secure a small ocean liner right before the charter season.

I've since lost something of the personal fire needed to put deals like that together. But, I still love those big boats! Nice to see both you & dcmacdaddy do, too!
