Has anyone else been frustrated with this? Manufacturer's making their USB plug (or device in two of my cases) try to look 'cool' and make it unreasonably curvy? I wouldn't be frustrated, except that the added bulk of the device makes it near impossible to fit properly into the USB jack. For instance, I bought a Bluetooth USB adapter last night. It works great, except that it's so wide that I have difficulty plugging in my other USB devices into my hub (The jacks are lined up in such a way that they're pretty close.

Do you guys know what I'm talking about? Does this bug anyone else?

Can't say that I have noticed. Hopefully venting will ease the frustration.

i also hate when you have a big thick block type mp3 player and the connecter is on the end and if you dont have ur hub it wont fit in or you have to write some complex apple script so it can sync without a keyboard or mouse. that really pisses me off.

The iPod shuffle has exactly this problem. It's nearly impossible to have the shuffle and another USB device attached to an iBook at the same time.

How about the old Apple USB extension cables that had the notch in the USB plug so you could only use it with an Apple Keyboard or Mouse, and nothing else? Annoying? Big time.

Yeah, and the new ones that have a plastic housing that only fits around the connector on Apple USB cables.

With the old one I just used a set of needle nosed pliers to squish the notch down a bit. With a little bit of effort I can plug any USB plug into it now. I've got a USB hub plugged into it. That way it can hang under my desk rather than off the side of the iBook (and I only have white apple plugs hanging off the side of the ibook )
