The lift-off, from a site in the Gobi desert, was shown live on state television and included views from a camera on the outside of the rocket.

Excellent video footage of the launch from the rocket mounted camera, which included the stage separations.

China`s going the distance. Its going for speed.

Maybe now the US can get its act together and make a real modern space program.
