Yes, but that's because it's only in his head -- and everyone knows Walt is "missing" in the sense he's not on the island.

No biggie as far as the plot goes, but it was a nice addition for those of us that like the show.

After the episode with the custody battle, I assumed Walt was taken by his father away from the mother and they were running around the world trying to evade her. This would mean that it had happened not so long ago...

But how do you keep milk around that long?
When you were young and your heart was an open book, you used to say "live and let live."
But if this ever changing world, in which we live in, makes you give in and cry, say "live and let die."

Please stop giving spoilers in thread titles - we're only half way through series one here.

Wait...I thought that Walt was taken by his mother and taken around the world by her. Then she dies and Walt's father was given custody of him...?

True. But, I like guessing that there's more to it.

It also ticks off those of us with TiVo who haven't had a chance to watch it yet.

Plus, there's already a "Lost" thread this could have been included in.

That scene wasn't "real," it was a dream sequence (not a flashback). I won't say anything more than that to prevent leaking any more spoilers for those who haven't seen this far yet.
