Bad... it should have ended at Rocky 3 or 4.
Or maybe 1.

It can't possibly be any worse than Rocky V, so I say Go for it!

They need new ideas - like the David Letterman jab at Harrison Ford when he heard about the new Indy movie: It's going to be called "Indiana Jones and the Comfortable Bed." Now they'll just bring the treasures to him.

I'd rather see Harrison Ford do another Indiana Jones.

Maybe he needs the money?
Plus, can we think of one movie, just one besides Rocky, that has been a commercial success for Stallone?
NO.

Which is why he should have stopped at IV. The fifth Rocky movie totally sucked.
But, who knows. Maybe that's why he wants to return to the Rocky series to try to end it on a high note.

Cobra is awesome, especially that scene where they're banging the knives. Simply awesome.

You think Copland was a good movie?
And...
He's had some real clunkers.
I did forget about Rambo though. He'd be better off remaking another Rambo movie.

I thoroughly enjoyed all the Rocky films. Chances are he doesn't need the money. He probably misses the attention and accolades. I wish him luck.

Wow.... where were you in the 80's. He's (or was) one of the highest paid actors. His movies may not appeal to everyone depending on your tastes - but he definitely had no issues with commercial success. And I believe he's also much more popular outside the US than he is in the US.
According to IMDB - his fee is is 20 mil / movie. I think he can still scrape a few pennies from underneath the cushions to make a living....
Having said all that... I still have no idea why he's giving it a go for another Rocky...

Come on, don't tell me you didn't enjoy him beating up on his padawan at the end of Rocky V!
I think a sixth could be good... not any worse than most movies now days anyway.
Everyone, aside from the original question, what was your favorite Rocky movie?
1 - Getting started, kinda weak looking, figting Apollo, not winning at the end
2 - Getting a little buffer, fighting Apollo, winning at the end
3 - Really tough, Fighting Mr T (Clubber Lang), losing, then winning at the end... "I reject the challenge, 'cause Balboa is no challenge, but I'll be happy to beat up on him some more"
4 - Tough as steel, Apollo is killed, fighting Ivan Drago in Russia, winning at the end
5 - Retired, training Tommy Gunn, kicks Tommy's butt in the end.
Personally, the fourth was my favorite.

1 & 2 together, I personally think of them as just one movie.
