I just saw an ad on NBC for it.

http://www.whatisit.com/

The commercial had "eBay" in the corner, and the colors/type are similar to eBay's. So what is it? I guess we'll find out in 52 hours.

Reminds me all too much of the pre-Segway hype, everyone talking about "it" and how it would be some huge effing revolution. Hardly so exciting.

There's something of a precedent concerning artificially hyped launches like this: the products often flop. Or at least they don't do as well as expected.

Examples:
Segway (we were all kept guessing for half a year, remember?)
an AT&T cell phone service (started with an m, I think)

From watching the changing blurb on the bottom I'm pretty sure it's cocaine.

"'Jelly Hat' sounds silly," I told Prince. "How about something poetic, like 'Raspberry Beret.'"
