I doubt apple is making 50% on the ipods, it doesn’t take into account, putting it together, marketing, failed manufacturing, warranty replacements (lemons) shipping and other associated costs related to creating, marketing and selling a product. The raw parts themselves are probably even cheaper then what Jeffery could get them for as Apple would be buying massive quantities.
