So whaddaya guys think of the new DOOM movie? I kinda liked it. It wasn't really as great as some would say but it's definitely a cool action movie. I think that it was a bit corny sometimes and the dialogue was, well, it could have been better.

They've also found a goof in DOOM, which I think is absolutely ridiculous since it's so obvious that it's just a joke.

I'm really going to see this movie just because Rosamund Pike is in it, knowing that the movie will suck. But Rosamund makes up for all of that.

I've had reports of the movie being really entertaining in a video-game sort of way. Apparently it is reminiscent enough of the game that it kicks serious ass entertainment-wise.
Unfortunately they seem to have done something odd to the BFG 9000, making it less enormous and less impressive than it was in the game, but that may be a carryover from the later game versions.
I certainly don't intend to see the film for its artistic merits, but I may go see it for some fun.

My wife and I went to see it Saturday at the matinee -- it's pretty good, actually. More or less true to the latest rendition of FPS video games.

Mortal Kombat is the only movie that I felt actually added something to the game that it came from.
The sequels sucked though.

I do not see how the Halo movie can suck. This is a game that its creators love and they did not release the second version until they got it right. Bungie has creative control, and Peter Jackson is the executive producer-along with Weta as the special effects house. Unless they decide to make it crap, it will be at least a good movie.
What do people expect from a film based on an action game? "Citizen Kane?" "Gone With The Wind?" How about "lots of fun to watch?"

HALO the movie.... wouldn`t be very difficult as the game itself had a halfway decent storyline, and CGI is easy to use. Heck, I hope its actually good.
FF Advent Children. Looks good, but don`t know enough Japanese to go see it in the theater.
