Any ideas where to look, or, better yet, does somebody on this forum know somebody looking for work?

I'm looking to hire somebody to do Mac/PC tech support. We're in Santa Clara, CA. I wish I could just hire one of the smarter people at the Apple Store nearby...could definitely pay them better.

Thanks,

Alex

Why can't you just hire someone from the Apple store? Just walk up to them and ask if they'd be interested.

Otherwise... how much are you offering?

It's hard to poach people from the Apple Store...it's hard to pretend to be a customer and interview each and every person

If anyone knows smart people in the south bay area (who are looking for a job), please PM me!

Thanks,

Alex

Wouldn't that part of Santa Clara be on the other side of Oregon?
Give petty people just a little bit of power and watch how they misuse it! You can't silence the self doubt, can you?

I'm probably moving to Santa Clara next year

I'm actually living in Portland right now, so the better answer would be the part on the Oregon side.

We're on Walsh Ave, near 101. Not too close to Oregon, though.

Seriously---if you know people looking for work, send them our way. We had a great 17 year old working for us as an intern this summer and lost him to college...just want smart, tech people.

Thanks,

Alex

My girlfriend lives in Santa Clara. Currently she's in Spain but I'll email tonight and ask if she knows if any of her techie friends need work.

I wouldn't be down there until June anyway, so I doubt I'd be a good candidate.
