it's a bit of a silly question.
also: change your signature. tripod doesn't allow remote linking, so it doesn't show up.

PowerbookG3, your sig picture is too big. Look at the General Announcement at the top of EVERY FORUM. 200pixels wide by 50pixels high is the max. Change it ASAP or it will be changed for you.

As for spamming, do it and you'll get banned. We don't take kindly to people using OUR forums to advertise OTHER forums. It just ain't smart to say "Come see MY forum" around here. It isn't polite, and it isn't something that'll get you hits, either.

I think I figured out the 777 in your nickname. According to Google, 777 was Donatello's code number for his skateboard in episode 5, season 2. Is Donatello your favorite Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle?

Seriously, if you want people to see your site, forum, or whatever, submit it to Google or Yahoo! Spam posts should be locked and the link should be deleted and the poster eternally banned forever!

But mods will notice it and do something about said link. Spam is spam, and it violates the spirit of what these forums are for-as well as being in violation of the user agreement. So Mr. Spammer may get a few hits, but not the zillions he or she hopes for. Not from MacNN, anyway.

What you needed to do, was become a member and hung out for a while. Gotten a feel of the kind of people who hang out here and then determined if promoting your own forum was appropriate or not. You failed to do that.

I just assumed that the site was an honest attempt to offer some useful content or service. I mean, who sets out to intentionally create a bad site?

I don't think saying the site was horrible fits in the constructive category. Being so harsh on someone's hard work seems a little Insensitive especially since he seemed so proud of it.
