While I'm all for commercials with scantily-clad peepshow blondes, I don't think a 30s preview is a deal-killer for a music service. Seems odd to me.

The ad is actually really good but the concept is stupid.

I don't think it will attract many people to rent music.

The gal is definitely hawt™. hawter than Cora…

And to be more accurate they should have started the girl's "preview" with her already topless, since iTunes previews typically start somewhere midway in the song.

It's a model with a market. A lot of music services are providing the "rental" model-and apparently doing well with it. It ain't for me-I know what songs I want, and I buy them.

But most people don't. There's countless people who regret having bought most of their CDs 12 months ago.

That is definitely the hottest ad I have seen. Way better than the Eminem/plagiarized crap that is the latest iPod ad.

Who is that chick?

And the second I stop paying all my music disappears? Yeah, that sounds like a good deal.

That's true, but then I don't buy most pop (or even simply "current") music. I buy stuff I like once I determine that I have continued to like it for a period of time. I could have a bajillion CDs if I bought one every time I thought a song was catchy, but "big radio" likes to play stuff to death, so I have a mechanism for figuring out whether a song will last for me-if I don't hate it the 20th or so time I've heard it on the same day, I'm probably going to like it for a good long while.

To me, the subscription model is too much like radio, with all the potential for pitfalls and bad songs that it entails.

30s preview as an argument against iTMS and a reason to rent music? Wow, the turds at Napster are grasping at straws ... badly. They must be quite desperate these days. I'd love to know who came up with the concept for that ad - Napster's CEO or an intern who works at their agency?

Didn't dig the chick but the ad was nicely done (craftsmanship-wise). Anyone know what agency did this?

Wow. Who is she?

Certainly an attention-grabbing advert!
