I was just wondering. How big prints would I be able to get from a few photos I have without losing quality.
They were taken with my former camera which was 2MP and taken in resolution something like 1280×1024 and 1600×1200. Can't remember the exact resolution and I don't even know if it's relevant.
Anyone know?
Thanks

Well, technically, you are not *losing* quality if you get larger prints, the "resultion just goes down".
I think this matter is rather subjectiv. I probably wouldn't go beyond 6x4".
Maybe this link helps, I'm not sure...

1600 x 1200 = 1.920.000 Pixels = 2 MP
It matters. You can get decent quality at 10 x 13 cm, just jugdging on the resolution. The camera itself matters as much as resolution. Maybe you can go up to DIN A4, but then most probably with not so decent quality anymore.
