So some of us English teachers in my city have been a bit... bored. So we started filming a video podcast, just for the heck of it. So we`re just about finished editing it but have hit a snag. (I won`t post a link to the site because it would look like spam, and we`re also not finished.)

We need somewhere to host our movie file. Or I guess all our files eventually. My question to you is where can we find some place online that has free (very much free) video hosting? I figure someone around here is bound to know a good place or two.

Thanks a bunch.

With hosting, you get what you pay for. dreamhost.com takes care of my own hosting needs and I can't recommend them highly enough.

If you have a decent internet connection and a computer that's always running and online, look into www.no-ip.com. You run a tiny app on the computer, and it routes whatever domain you want to your personal computer, allowing you to host stuff yourself. It isn't the best way to do things, but it is free.

Free may not mean reliability. I know of a good inexpensive on though.

My place of teaching... letting me... ha ha ha ha!

The best part about my Japanese school district is that at the Board of Education, the main office for a city of over 400,000 people, there is only one computer with NET access. Any attempts at getting any OTHER computer (everyone has one, mind you) NET access is always given a `no`. Usually after several meetings and several memos. Its too much of a security risk they say.

I`d host them myself, but in the almost 5 months I`ve been in Japan I`ve yet to get a home connection. I`m still waiting for them to come and install a new line. Thank god for the internet cafe near my place.

If it's that hard to come by then I guess I'd have to ask why you want to produce it...who's gonna watch it?

Anyway, what size?
