Take a bunch of oysters and Ritz cracker pieces, throw 'em into a casserole bowl. Top it off with whole crackers. Bake it. Eat it. My mother made this every holiday and it's awesome. There might be a touch of milk or cream in there somewhere, maybe butter too, I don't know. Just do your best and try better next time if you screw up.

Every year at thankgiving and Christams I make these. Wonderful stuff, if you like hot booze drinks!
Hot Toddy Mix (makes enough for massive booze and sugar overload. This is a full batch, I usually make half batches because the batter doesn't keep for very long):
1 dozen eggs
2# powdered sugar
2 tbsp Vanilla Extract (pure vanilla extract is the best, because it comes preloaded with alcohol and tastes better).

Separate eggs (12 yolks, 12 whites)
Whip yolks in mixer (until fluffy and pale yellow: high speed for a few minutes)
Add 1# Powdered Sugar
Add 1 TBSP Vanilla Extract
Mix until you have a very thick batter, set aside.

Whip whites in mixer
Add 1# Powdered sugar
Add 1 TBSP Vanilla Extract
Mix until stiff.
Fold in Yolk/Sugar/Vanilla (low speed) mixture until well mixed. The resulting mixture will be an extremely sweet batter.

Fill a coffee cup about half way with batter, add a double shot of your favorite poison (rum, bourbon, whisky or scotch recommended), top off with near boiling water (try not to evaporate too much alcohol), stir and top with nutmeg and cinnamon. Adjust alcohol for desired intoxication level.
Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal!

Yep! Sure, sometimes I like to adhere to them, but it can be a lot of fun mixing things up a bit.
On the third margarita, any posts for the rest of the evening will be...interesting!

My dad made some kind of Italian stuffing today- he says he forgot something, but nobody cared it was delicious.

Bread, prosciutto, celery, carrots, garlic, onion... mmmmmmm

Oh and the turkey had bacon on it on the outside- REAL moist turkey. Inside was an onion, orange and apple.

My wife's recipes are in her head.

This is what we had, she purchased it from Roche Bros.

Apple Grape Sparkling Cider, Salad, Roll, Whipped Butter, Turkey slices, stuffing, Cauliflower & Broccoli Casserole with Cheese & Bread Crumb topping, Mashed Potatoes, & Gravy

It was delicious. Having Mince Meat Pie later, a once a year treat.
