You know, it's been a while since we've had a +1 thread.

Anyone want to turn this into one?

You'd better not. We don't allow +1 threads.

I hear spamming isn't allowed either.

Doesn't explain why a thread promoting a free public hate list--at least I hope that's what that link is for--hasn't been locked.

It might be spam. But I don't see a commercial interest, and I don't even see why anyone would ever visit that site again after visiting it.

it's not a commercial interest (yet), but it's certainly advertising (spam).

The definition of spam is "unsolicited commercial message".

Either way, that looks so stupid that it's not worth dealing with.

tooki makes a good point - we throw around the spam label all too readily, when many of the messages we describe as such are not spam, at least not by the lexical definition. For example, what is the official name for unsolicited malware messages?

if that's true, then why are spam and advertising messages separately listed on the report abuse page?

it may not be spam per se, but it's clearly a thread created for the sole purpose of advertising a website and it should be locked.

I would prefer that there wasn't such a list as a "hate list."

Ya, they should replace it with the "I do not prefer" list

It would be better to just block someone.
