My wife would like a TV in our kitchen/diner. It's where we have breakfast, she says she likes watching the news and weather in the morning.
I don't mind, but I don't want to:
a: have a huge TV cluttering up the kitchen
b: spend a fortune
So, I am thinking about a 13-15" LCD. Maybe a model that could double as a monitor for a Mac Mini?
Would is be worth to get a CostCo card for this? Ideas, suggestions, ridicule anybody?

I picked up a 10" under cabinet LCD screen. It works well, but check out the sound quality before you purchase one. Mine has absolutely NO bass. Makes even a cheap CRT TV sound good.

You shouldn't watch TV while you eat. Some expert said it makes you more likely to overstuff yourself.

Read a newspaper. Or listen to the radio. It's cheaper.

Is bass that important when you're half asleep and eating Lucky Charms?

I was debating the same thing for my home office. The room is small so I didn't want a 14" CRT, but LCD TVs cost so damn much. I ended up going for the CRT because it was so inexpensive, but I still long for an LCD TV. Maybe I'll get one when a reasonable LCD TV drops under US$200.
