Yah I've bought a whole bunch of stuff since iTunes 6 came out, however because of the whole DRM thing I can't put it on the demo iMac we have at work, (see technically I'm demoing the airport express base station and JBL creatures, untechnically I just like having my music going during work). As well I have my old iMac in our youth room and it's not connected to the internet so I can't authorize the music there either.
But yah it's been a long time since iTunes 6 came out and I figured the Hymn project would have updated by now.

You could always authorize the iTunes on the mac at work with your apple id so that you could play those songs there too...

Yah I did that last time with the Sanctus Real album I bought. Problem was when it was sold as a demo, of course it's not like the guys at work are going to think to de-authorize iTunes . So now that Album has one fewer comps that can play it . That's why I'm going to wait till Hymn gets updated. By the way anyone who's wondering about the morality of this. It's all for my own use, as well it's 100% legal up in the great white north.

AFAIK, Hymn doesn't yet work with songs purchased with iTunes 6.

You can go into your itunes preferences and de-authorize the others remotely.

from itunes support:
How do I deauthorize all of my computers?
If you have authorized five computers, a button labeled "Deauthorize All" will appear in your Account Information screen. This button will deauthorize all computers associated with your account. You can then reauthorize up to 5 computers. Note: You can only use this feature once a year.

Yah we'd probably end up selling more than 5 demos in a year though. I'd just rather not deal with all that crap.

Well you can't sell demos with songs you don't have the rights to you see.

Huh? What has that have to do with anything? If you sold it with copyrighted material you already broke the law. This is way more serious than downloading pirated music of the internet you know.

No, we wipe the HDs before they go out if it's on demo. In other words any songs I had on there were gone before they customer got their hands on it.

I'm glad I don't have to make important decisions like this in my job.

I'm tempted to just buy a pack of CD-RWs... might be my quickest solution. Too bad it'd take so long.

So yah you could like use Audio Hijack and stuff and then just put the iTunes 6 songs on your iPod and then dump them onto whatever mac you want to play them on because that would be like totally awesome and stuff

If I change my way of living, and if I pave my streets with good times, will the mountain keep on giving…
