Don't really want anything in particular, so me and the wife have decided to just have a good time over Xmas instead of wasting on something we don't want/need.

Possibly a trip over the sea to Dublin for a few pints of the black stuff!

I have a dream, but nothing definite yet. Want to celebrate the birth of Jesus, the reason for Christmas.

mmm hopefully the dell 2405FPW monitors will be on sale for $800 again soon. I wanted an xbox 360 but I decided I'd wait on that until summer when prices on them fall (or I decided to get a PS3) and get something more useful for xmas.

I'd love a nice digital SLR, but they are still a bit out of my price range w/ lenses and such.

I want my Mac mini to be able to take advantage of my Logitech X-530 surround speakers that I bought forever ago. Right now I'm using 2 splitters so sound comes out of all the speakers, but it's still in stereo .

Well my only guitar is a 1980 guild d-25 acoustic, so I'd probably be happy with any electric just to play around with. Most of the reviews of the cheap ~$100 SX gear have been pretty good. The guys over at Harmony Central forums say the SX guitars are generally better than the Fender Squiers etc similar price. If you do have a suggestion though, I'd love to see cause I've been looking at tons of cheap guitars lately.

Some sort of video-out card for my G4. Which pretty much means a Best Buy gift certificate, or just money.

The real reason? Most of the elements of Christmas were pagan traditions of yore -- from thousands of years before Christ was born, when the real reasons had to do with celebration (of the harvest, of pagan gods and the protection afforded by them) and gift-giving. Jesus probably wasn't even born in December.

Christians during the Reformation outlawed the celebration of Christmas for a reason, while a more Christ-centric celebration formed soon thereafter (but still clasping to pagan roots).
"You rise," he said, "like Aurora."

That IS scary. <shudders>

I saw we make this the new goat5e pic when you really want to gross out someone.
