I don't know how many of you read the WSJ (It's one of my two newspapers I read), but Mossberg has once again come out with a glowing review of a Mac. He basically dispels many of the old myths (overpriced, incompatible, underpowered, etc. etc.)

What blew me away was his statement "The combination of the new, improved hardware, plus Front Row, makes the iMac G5 the best consumer desktop you can buy this holiday season, period."

Interesting article, not sure if it's online.

I was going to say the same thing. Everything Apple puts out he loves to death.
I roll my eyes every-time Steve shows them at keynotes.

I would agree if Mossberg didn't have a history of being rather critical of Apple. He hasn't always been a fan of Apple's, he also normally dishes out a more balanced article... this article was very positive.

Read that article while waiting at Doctors this evening, was nice! (the 2nd page of it in the physical paper had a HUGE dell ad opposite of it, and the article said it beat out dell, hp, etc... Thought that was amusing)

Yeah, Mossberg has ZERO credibility when it comes to reviewing Apple stuff. I love Macs as much as the next guy or girl here, but I consider Mossberg's articles the same way I would an ad out of Cupertino.

If I remember he used to bash macs pretty bad a few years back.
(I think so anyway ... too long to remember and I used to bash them back then too ...) <-- I'm sorry. I already did penance for my ignorance.

I recall that he did indeed pan macs pretty hard in the past. I don't know. Perhaps he's done an about-face because he is genuinely impressed(?)

Or maybe someone got to him and brainwashed him. Yeah... Apple is doing shifty things these days.
