Brian says (9:16 AM): I was looking at houses in Ottawa... I actually have a temptation in me to move
Jeff ******* says (9:19 AM): Eww, Ottawa is gross. It's infested with politicians, and presently, 1 Harper as well.

Distasteful. I have no problem with nudity, but this seems like being provocative for the sake of it.
Oh well, it keeps them busy so they don't start any more wars, I guess.

That was really quite unnecessary.

Disrespectful to oneself? (It was developed by purported Christians)
It seems to me more like another example of how 21century marketers think that the THING itself (God or an SUV) can't compete on its own benefit but needs flesh-flash.
And also an example of how someone PRETENDS to be promoting something (Christianity), but is actually just looking to fill their own pockets.

I really don't care one way or the other. I don't think nudity is inherently 'bad' or 'distasteful'.
The bible is full of eroticism because people have been interested in sex and sexual politics forever. Nothing wrong with it either.
If you don't want to look at it, don't buy the calendar.

Why? Did the mythical Adam and Eve wear Dockers and Nike?

Why is there always money for war, but none for education?

I can see why the poster is offensive to some. But would they be equally offended if they were in the Garden pre-apple fest?
From what I gather, the concept of shame/self awareness came about after eating the forbidden fruit (after God said not to).
Are those who are ashamed of nudity also guilty of disobeying God's word, whatever those words may be?

As previously stated, I find nothing wrong with nudity. However, there's just something off about this. I think it's probably the "hey look at us, we're progressive!" attitude behind the calendar. It's somewhat confrontational for the sake of being confrontational, in the same way that some modern art is.

Please don't think that I am stalking you - the reason I find myself replying to your posts is because many of your opinions are diametrically opposite to mine but well presented. Makes it easy to get into a meaningful discussion.
Anyway, that out of the way, I am in two minds about this. I have a dim view on progressiveness for progressiveness' sake myself but I am also aware that pioneers have always been given a hard time.
And boom, next thing you know you realize that the earth isn't flat after all. Now don't think that I assume for a minute that a nudie calendar is anywhere near the teachings of Kopernikus, but the mindset is similar: Challenge the establishment. Which in my view is to be encouraged at every possible opportunity.

Darn right. And they read the King James Bible too, not any of this trendy NIV stuff.

I dono, but I do know that the real ones wore fig leaves! Or so every Children's bible ever taught me! And Christians would never lie to kids through those lovely illustrated works.. would they?
