I heard about it, went to it, and wasn't impressed.
Never liked their forums, just the general design of it plus there are way too many whiners.
I like the smaller population here at MR.
It's a bit more of a community, you actually get to know some of the members here cuz there's not nearly as many here as there are there at MacNN.
And some of those members need to get lives, there's one guy there with over 15,000 posts since Nov '01 I think.
I mean, being Ms. Spam is one thing, but 15,000 posts in less then a year is too much.
What are we gonna do about this?

So, no one noticed that WDLove is in that thread? Apparently, by the dates, he registered here a few days after the Macrumors post. So, if it wasn't for that post WDLove wouldn't be here.

I think that's just a percentage situation. A larger population inherently has a larger percentage of whiners. Much like the way that people tend to talk to everyone about negative experiences less than positive, people tend to remember whiners more than the valid debaters, good company, and the fun.
Besides, would anyone really want the NN forums without any whiners?
It'd take some of the fun away, that's for sure.

I finally looked at the 3-yr-old poll results: Actually, despite their poor judgment in relying on M'Rumors... most rate MacNN well.
Amazingly a bunch hadn't heard of MacNN... which meant the poll probably was helpful marketing.
