I didn`t realize there was an issue. But if you have problems calling apple and complaing, a lot, would be the right move.

I didn't know anyone still thought Internet petitions, especially ones on PetitionOnline, worked.

Hint: signing your name, especially on the Internet, doesn't show much effort on your part. The people you're attempting to convince respond in kind.

Yah, I say we petition for a class action lawsuit so Apple ends up paying $4,000,000 to a bunch of layers and I get a $5 coupon on my next quad CPU Intel (if I buy a 30" cinema display and ipod).

Yes I did; however, I just sold it due to this very problem and Apple's lack of support to fix the problem after the Logic Board went bad again.

Yes.

My logic board failed 3 times in my iBook G3. The final time, I made sure that I went to the Apple Store when their were a lot of customers there and proceeded to loudly berate the Manager until I got a new G4.

No problems since

If your logic board has failed "7 or 8 times" like it says on your petition, you should have been given a new laptop a long time ago.

Are there still logic board problems?

Aren't the affected computers like 3-4 years old by now?

I'm pretty sure it's unreasonable to expect them to replace them at this point.

Mine was replaced 3 years ago.

I didn't realize that an iBook issue is relevant for the lounge.

The link you provide is not active. There is another one in that site but after you sign with all the info you can't sign. I sent an email to the email account listed in that page and I got back a delivery failer.
Is there any one who has more information on this matter?
My iBook, white, 900 mhz, dual usb, etc. failed 3 times(now is the 4th one); the LB was replaced and now after out of guarantee Apple wants to charge more than $400 to replace it, but they don't guarantee is not going to fail again.

The link and email address are most likely not accurate because this thread is almost a year old. Please check dates before bringing up old posts.

Ask for a new computer. Sometimes when you have a computer that breaks over and over and over again, they're willing to replace it with a new one.
