I was working at home on my first freelance job for an ad agency when someone called and said to turn on the radio. Unbelievable. I wept. John was my hero.
Sometimes I think about it and can still hardly believe it. It doesn't make sense, never will. There's a remembrance in this month's Rolling Stone where the author says "It's been 25 years and it can still stop your mind." Well said.
I'm still a hardcore Beatles freak and along with my pal we get out the guitars and sing the oldies. Sometimes we're even listenable. Anyway, thanks John for the brilliance you left behind!
