Hey, OK already got Mac Solitare so I actually don't need that one. But I'm looking for a few cheap junky perferably flat out free games for OS X. Not for me but actually for my mom. Why'zat you say? Well I got her a Mac mini today and I just finished setting it up. Yes you heard me right I got a Mac mini for my mom for Christmas! Plus an Apple Keyboard, PLUS a Kensington Studio Mouse! See she actually told me a while ago that she wanted a cordless mouse, no idea why. But I figured she'd never change batteries so I got her one that would still look nice and work with a dock. I don't know if we'll keep it though we'll see how she likes it.
Anyway finally got the mini up and running. Installed Tiger, put iLife 05 back on etc. (I got it open box at Best Buy, I'm debating whether or not I should return the 100 dollar service plan I bought or not...).
Anyway, uhh what else. Oh right THE GAMES. See the big thing my mom used her old OLD compaq for was word processing and playing this Taipie game with these tiles and junk. Anyway so if anyone knew of a nice freeware verson of that that woudl make me super happy. But either way just a few card game type style ones and what not.

Please help make my mom's switch easy

Perhaps.

I was more trying to point out that Salty's whole post boils down to "solitaire for Mac OS X." If he would have just Googled that phrase, he would have found plenty of solitaire versions.

Since his post bounces all over the place before finally getting back to what he originally started the thread for, I wanted to see what would happen if Salty asked Google a question the same way he does in this post.

Copy and paste his post into Google, those two sites are the actual results. No offense meant, I just thought the choice of sites was a little funny.

Anyway, nice present, Salty. I'm sure you're mom will dig it.

I got it, and thought it was amusing.

Plus, why is this even in the lounge? You're asking for a game, why not ask in the Games forum? Even then I'm pretty sure this question has been asked.

My favorite solitaire game on any platform is Solitaire til Dawn http://semicolon.com

You have to buy it but I think it's worth whatever they want.

I'm not looking for the quickest google of the info. I'm actually asking people if there are any good cheap games that are fun for OS X that I probably wouldn't find with a simple googling... of course that's kind of obvious and you just wanted to be a jackass.
