I'm not even really sure what to say. I will bet that you get a backlash when you dupe parents into buying sex games for their little girls.

As long as it wasn't a hardcore porn game, I'd have no problem buying this for my hypothetical daughter. Why shouldn't she enjoy her body when she's ready?

The troublesome thing is that she intends to dupe parents. Why exactly is it her business to do something against the intention of the parents? Just be honest. I don't think you should raise your kids as vegetarians, but I'm not secretely slipping some meat into them and training them to eat meat. I'm happy to let you do as you please.

I'm not bothered by the idea of masturbation, or of being good at it.

As long as it is medically correct then I would have no problem.

Too true. We do love our guns and shoot-em-ups on TV.
I'd prefer to see a lot more nduity on TV myself.
One should never stop striving for clarity of thought and precision of expression.
I would prefer my humanity sullied with the tarnish of science rather than the gloss of religion.

Maybe his wording is not good, but here is how I would put it:

America...
Violence in public = more acceptable
Sex in public = less acceptable

His generalization is correct when compared with Europe.

In the US, violence is much more accepted in public than nudity and porn.
Look at violent movies that get cut for European audience, because what is appropriate here (US) for a certain age group is not accepted in Europe for the same age group.

Nudity and sex on the other hand is much more accepted in Europe. You'll see bare breasts on billboards or on TV at prime time. Or in movies, look at for instance at Basic Instinct. The European version was much more explicit.

What exactly about her web page is dishonest?

Also, how many people do you think read the Grimms' fairy tales to their children without the faintest idea of what they're really about?

Are they being duped by the publishers' failure to include a "Warning: Sexual metaphor" sticker on every copy of Sleeping Beauty sold?

Should they sue because their innocent daughters are being secretly slipped some meat?

I wish our shampoo ads had boobs in them. That would be awesome. They could lather themselves... and rub against each other... heck. They could just have boobs personified and wiggle them whenever someone speaks to sell products.

I don't know if I should laugh, or cry at this thread.

I haven't seen such a inane shallow whining bash in a long time.

Congratulations fellows.

Anyhow, People have said this before in here and it will probably be said again.

In the US you can get any vile, nasty, decadent porn you want for your own viewing pleasure. (within the law, no pedophile crap etc)

You also have the right NOT to have to see this stuff.

So it works for everyone.

And there is no reason breasts are needed to sell shampoo. If there is, you are being duped.

I fail to see how this game can be considered bad? Is sex education really that terrifying?

Sex education? Of course not!

But if people have to be a certain maturity to have sex, you'd think there would be such an age such a thing would needed to be taught.

I think that is the big complaint.

To me sex is as natural a thing as any. If the hubbub is about hidden sex education that the children do not understand, then we might as well ban all games with educational messages - after all, we never know who we might be offending be teaching their children about stuff they don't agree with.

No, that is taking something logical, and spinning into something extreme and bizarre.

We have common sense for a reason.

As far as most of Europe is concerned, anything past conception is mature enough.

Anything else would be kind of counter-existential, no?

I certainly hope you people aren't telling the Sleeping Beauty story to anyone underage, though. 'Twould be a mortal double standard if you did.

If a person has to be a certain age or maturity to be emotionally ready for sex etc. One would think it would apply to learning about sex as well.

Weird-ass stork stories go against common sense in my book.

A basic explanation of where he came from is certainly more than appropriate to a 5-year-old when he or she asks.

Yes, but you can tell a 5 year old where babies come from without getting sexually in detail.

So you would have no problem with say if you had a daughter, teaching her how to properly give oral sex to someone at the age of 5?

Would that not be wrong?

If it's being done in a metaphorical way, like this game does, I have no problems with it. When the right time comes, she might make the connection, perhaps not.

When you're teaching stuff to children, you do it according to their maturity and ability to understand the subject. We don't subject 5 year olds to algebra.

Teaching children (covertly) about sex (this game) = bad?
Teaching children (covertly) religious propaganda (Chronicle's of Narnia) = good?
