After seeing them for years on U.S TV I chewed my way through my first Baby Ruth bar today and I must say it was bloody good! Almost like a snickers on peanut overdrive.

A local store imports them here along with a bunch of other US chocolate and sweets, so what else should i look out for thats tasty and is $1.47157 (USD) too much to pay for a Baby Ruth (how much are they over there?

That's about twice what I would consider paying for a Baby Ruth, but I have no idea what one actually costs here.

How about trying a Nestlé Crunch or an Almond Joy? Nestlé is a Swiss company by the way. I actually had the pleasure of attending a speech given by the current CEO. No, he did not give out free chocolates.

Yeah we've had crunch here for forever, but not almond joy. We have Mars Bars (you guys have got that right??) with almonds in them and they taste like horse faeces.

what about Milk Duds, whats the deal with them? I had a Hersheys peanut butter cup once and i nearly brought it back up, i was magoid (drunk) though

Milk Duds are good, but your teeth will like them even better and refuse to let go.

Try Butterfinger for crackly p-butter goodness.

Milk Duds

Some other mainstream goodies from off the top of my head:

Hershey's Almond Kisses and Nuggets
Nestlé Turtles
Twix (sort of like a Kit-Kat, but with caramel)
Smarties
Runts

Butterfingers, like Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, are too sweet for my taste.

Twix
Toblerone
Smarties
Runts (also known as nerds IIRC)
Kit Kats

i'm fanging for some Milk Duds though, they sound epic

Remember, Smarties aren't the same from country to country. What we call and buy as Smarties in the US, isn't what it is called and sold as Smarties in Canada (same for Kellogs Corn Pops).

Just sayin...

I'd also like to add that Baby Ruth™ is the official candy bar of the NBA.

When ever I see a Baby Ruth, I think of the scene in Caddyshack when somebody accidentally drops a Baby Ruth candy bar into the pool and everybody thinks it's feces. They play the Jaws theme - it's hilarious. "Doodie!"

We should combine this with the cheese thread and collectively discover a new taste sensation! Or maybe not!

In the US most regular sized candybars are $0.60 approx.

This is vote #4 for Nestle Turtles. Only buy as many as you intend to eat; these are not a candy that can be kept in stock. Their shelf life is fine. It's just that no human being has the willpower to stop eating.

In China they cost about 2 USD from Expat shops.
Never tried one but I'm starting to get tempted.

I went through hundreds of Mallo cups in my days. Haven't had one in awhile. Think I'll check and see if they are even still around.

Sorta, though Snickers ain't bad. But nuts definitely should never rear their ugly heads in chocolate cake like they did a few weeks ago here at the BlueSky household. It was sheer horror and a tragic waste of an otherwise perfectly good chocolate cake.

Same thing with brownies. Nuts just ruin em.
