Same thing with smoking. I can't believe how much money people throw away on that. I can't count the number of people I know who smoke and have cars they can't afford. And it seems like they're just getting all the things they actually enjoy on credit card debt. Unfortunately some day they're going to decide to have a family and all that jazz or something and they'll be so far in debt they won't be able to help their kids go through college or get a nice house.
Besides does smoking or smoking up actually make anyone feel really good about themselves? Why not take that money that's thrown away killing yourself and actually do something nice for someone else!

BTW, you can get an ounce for about $120 of decent stuff. an ounce usually lasted me atleast a month when I smoked daily.

Hate to burst your bubble, but potheads aren't the only ones spending all their money and getting into debt.

I do feel great when I toke up, especially after a long hard day of working (which is now outside in the sub-freezing temperatures).

Does your god kick pick you up when you're feeling low and let you feel good again? Most likely.

Is it anyone's business that I like to get stoned in my house when I'm not driving/working/performing open heart surgery/voting/etc? Hell no, stop wasting tax money demonizing the one drug I wouldn't mind my kids doing, drinking has killed waaaaaaaay more people that I known than pot ever could.

And this multi-million dollar ad campaign is even more ludicrous. Why not have anti-drinking commercials? Or anti-coke? (more like adderral, the schoolkids choice nowadays)

I don't like the club scene, I don't get hooked in by fashion (which has every girl I know in debt), I drink infrequently compared to my non-pothead friends, so when you consider everything I spend just about as much as the typical non pot smoking 22 year-old. I have my own place, my own car, and plenty of bills....how can this be explained???

Simply, because the "pothead" is a general stereotype perpetuated by people like Salty and other straitedges far to brainwahed by the smear campaign on pot to give it a try (don't like booze hangovers? switch to pot!)

But why am I even wasting keystrokes, if you are anti-pot you either....

I'm jealous. Best around here was was indo that a good friend of mine grew (white widow, blueberry haze) but since its a seller's market around here he charges 60 and 1/8th (and that is friend prices)

One of these days I'd like to be able to grow my own supply. Cut out the middleman, cut out all shady dealings, and just enjoy.

The only reason why I don't grow mush (Super easy to grow, super cheap, etc.) and pot is that i'm with my parents for at least a couple more months. You know, you can have medium quality indoor pot with some basic lighting & warming... do it in your closet. I know there are 2178638712 tutorials on the net. 1/8 is roughly 25 Canadian$ here. Quality if you know where to look.

Per year? Less than $50-70.
Per decade? Probably less than $500.

I think most people confuse pot as a drug that you would rob a liquor store to get money for.

If I can't afford it, I don't buy it. I spend my fair share on pot every year...but who here doesn't spend money on silly things? Unless every penny you make goes towards bills and the bank you really can't say that spending money on pot is a waste, since you most likely waste just as much money as I do.

In my experiences all of those questions can be aswered by saying "Who was the drunkest kid there"

The most stoned kids stay away from the drunken jock-fests, usually getting bands to play at their house parties, which also keeps away the stupid shallow drunken girls that like drunken jocks.

Everyone gets stoned at these parties (and drunk too) and has a great time enjoying life. Meanwhile, at the jock party, the cops are there and your friend got punched in the face.

I like pot myself, that guy ambush is so right about the price. And up here its legal if you have less than 15 ounces or something so as long as your not a dealer or grower its pretty much legal. And it sure as hell beats tobacco/nicotine because it has much less tar and is not habit forming and if you don't like smoking it you can swallow it too. plus when you mix it with alcohol it makes you like 3 times as drunk.

But pot doesn't have you smoking 20 joints a day so that is a moot point.

Cooking with pot and ingesting it is just about the safest way to alter your mind. No tar, and the THC metabolizes right out of your system.

My fav. is getting 200 proof grain alchohol, simmer a few shots worth (a shot per person) and about a gram of weed (per person) in a pan until the grain has taken on a dark green sludge appearence. Pour out the weed/booze into shot glasses and mix with your favorite juicy drink (I think it goes great with Orange Pineapple juice).

I can't remember the exact amount i used a month, year etc. But i started smoking it when i was 19, only once or twice a week(weekends). Didn't use much and stopped when i was 22 or 23. It was fun but i got bored with it and never really liked smoking anyway. Actually i hate smoking.

Oh and i I live in Amsterdam. It's easy to get, lots of choice and some good stuff. But i don't care really, too many friggin tourists.
