Oh yes, so weird! Living in the North and all! Very weird!
In other news, it was a balmy 8 C here today. Everyone was out with t-shirts on. Gorgeous, but I love the cold anyways, so it kinda rains on my snowboarding parade....

30° C and more is the kind of temperature they have "other places". It's disgusting.

It went up to 7 today, and was raining. Forecast if for above 0 for a few days, so we're going to lose all our snow.
I mean, what the hell?

Well you need to put this into context, most of Canada in December is minus C, edmonton, Calgary, Winnipeg can get as low as 20° C for a norm and extreme minus 40. Toronto minus 10.... being plus 14 is gloating to those poor guys hehe

Kevin, Kevin, Kevin. When will you stop assuming things just because they fit in with your particular version of reality? I did no such thing, I was just making a joke about you loving hot temperatures.
Now, have a very happy Christmas. And some eggnog.

.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAH
Mastrap that was a HORRIBLE backpeddle.
Tell the class how "I had no idea you lived in the tropics " is funny.
Or the meaning behind your "joke"
I guess SWF was just "assuming things" when he replied to your post thinking the same thing.
You've put your foot in your mouth TWICE in this thread.

It would have been best for you to just have not said a thing.

Edmonton and Calgary can get down to -20° C, but neither have normal temps anywhere near that number.
Calgary's high for today will be 9° C. The "normal" high for today is -3° C and the "normal" low for today is -15° C. (I put "normal" in brackets, because Calgary really doesn't have any normals, just an average temp between extremes)

On the matter of snow, I never really understood the desire for a "White Christmas". I swear, I think some people would like to see a foot of snow on the ground xmas morning, and to have it all gone the next day.

Then you shouldn't have back-peddled Mastrap.
I don't believe you because it's PAINFULLY obvious what your original intentions were.
I am sorry your smarmy sarcastic post at the beginning didn't pan out the way you wanted it to.
Maybe you should stop and think before you post them next time.
Your mouth and foot will thank you.

Mastrap, you said something, then tried to play us all like idiots when you denied it. Not only that, you tried to project that I was 'assuming" wrong instead of just admitting your original knee-jerk was a mistake.
Hell you didn't even have to do that.
Stop playing the 'innocent victim"
Had you been honest, and not back-peddled no one would be saying anything to you.
You brought this onto yourself.
Or are you going to finally tell the forum what was so funny or humorous about
"I had no idea you lived in the tropics "

Yeah, the last week's been what I'd say are perfect December temperatures, along with some good snowfalls. Vancouver's not the place to go for a white Christmas, but Toronto should be.

They're insane. White Christmases are a must. Calgary's a lot warmer on average than when I grew up there, but we always had at least 6" of snow on the ground at Christmas, it just completes the holiday IMO.

when you cant get them, you kinda desire them. In jan when we do have a few inches the ground, some years, the left over christmas lights look soooo neat reflecting off the snow

Wow... just wow.
First you put your foot in your mouth at the beginning of the thread, and now this.
I have nothing against Canada. I go there often. The people there for the most part a nice.
You have me confused (probably on purpose) with someone else.
Thats twice now in the same thread.
You'd think some people would learn to "quit" while they aren't ahead.

It's Christmas and contrary to what you're assuming I don't actually dislike you. Do I disagree with you at times? Sure. Do I think that you conduct yourself in a way becoming an adult on these boards? No, I don't.
But nothing you do impacts my life in any way and that makes it pointless for me to foster any negativity towards you. Nothing could be gained by it.
So, with no games and no ulterior motives, have a wonderful Christmas and a happy 2006.

Mastrap, a better thing would have been for you to have not tried to lie, and project me "assuming" something you knew was true.
That would have been more Christmas of you. Christmas is more than telling someone have a Happy Christmas.
I know you are attempting to look "in the right" here.
But you don't do that what you did in the thread earlier, and then expect people to just totally ignore you doing so.
You could just drop it, and not go on, or fess up to it.
