According to this Indian newspaper Intel is getting rid off its "Intel Inside" logo and advertising programme. This is sort of good news for everyone who would have hated such a sticker on an Apple notebook.

Not getting rid of — changing.

Article also has Pentium M labelled as dual-core and Yonah labelled as single core, which, if I'm not mistaken, is the reverse of how it really is.
Life is like a clay pigeon -- sooner or later, someone is going to shoot you down and even if they miss you'll still wind up shattered and broken in the end.

Very interesting and hopefully exciting. What a coincidence, it will coincide with the release with the first Intel Mac.

Any logo other than the Apple one on an Apple laptop would be a serious bummer.

I guess no one read what I read somewhere...

Intel is pissed that Apple will not participate in the "Intel Inside" program.

AND that Intel is going to build the Mac motherboards.

Speculation was that Intel is going to be building the PowerMac motherboards in order to keep Apple's releases on time, not all Mac's motherboards.

Is that Sanscrit in the title of the thread? What's it mean?

I can puzzle out German, most romance languages, and even Russian a bit, but Sanscrit?

And I think this subject is still so rife with FUD that a lot of people will read what they want to into anything that Intel and/or Apple release about the "upcoming" Intel-based Macs, both now and well after they start hitting the shelves.

Does it matter? Most hard core Apple users could scrape it off anyways.

I don't think most Mac users want 'scrape' anything off their computers.

Is that the city name for the byline? (It comes through in English when I view the link.)

Anyway "change" is not the same as "no label." I'm sticking with my earlier assertion: we won't know until the new Macs come out, and there will still be plenty of wondering after they do.
