I'm getting a nice office in a few weeks, and I thought since I spend most of my life there, I should decorate it nicely (for the first time).

I'm tentatively planning on going with an zen-type (asian) theme. The previous occupant had an art-deco style, which really worked well. Of course, I'm open to suggestions.

Here's the hard part - where do I get the decorations? I need 2 pictures/prints for the wall (each poster size), a clock to hang on the wall, some table-top art work (carvings?), etc. I was thinking a bonsai tree would be kind of cool.

Does anyone have any suggestions for decorating this office? Where does one go to get this type of stuff? Does anyone live in the asia-pacific region who can recommend something?

There is a goofy store called Hobby Lobby here in Oklahoma. They have all the stuff you are looking for. They have all the fad decor in groups.

Thanks, but finding something to make it look nice is proving next to impossible!

I wish you all the best with the office decorating. It sounds like fun.

Go nuts. Go for the "Pee-Wee's Playhouse" look.

I'm a huge fan of Pier 1. Go for it! And congrats on the office.
