Larry Page, Google’s co-founder and president of products, will give a keynote address Friday at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Analysts suspect that Page will use the opportunity either to show off a Google computing device or announce a partnership with a big retailer to sell such a machine. Source: LATimes

I bet whatever it is, it'll be compared to whatever Apple brings out at MacWorld:SF. (That's the 9th, right?)

I'm giddy about MacWorld. I'd rather think of that, but Google is amazingly innovative and whatever they do the public will jump on and support.

You don't think they'd be dumb enough to enter the Web Browser market, would they?

Maybe I'd understand that move more if I knew what the great benefit of releasing a web browser was.

Well, I'm pretty sure that there are tons of M$ n00bs out there that don't even know Firefox, but they would be introduced to it by Google. So for these people, it would make sense.

I don't see that being an issue for Mac user's.

I can see why Google would want to brand a browser. If the company can drive an even greater share of search traffic to itself by way of a Google browser, that would be a nice thing to have.

They are going to unveil a new pay-per-download video service.
