Who is Maryland Packaging?
Maryland Packaging is a privately held Limited Liability Corporation registered in the State of Maryland. Our offices are located at 7030 Troy Hill Drive in Elkridge Maryland 21075 and we are on the 95 Interstate Hub, we are located 15 minutes south of Baltimore and 45 minutes from Washington DC. When our strategic partners and strategic partners come to visit they will fly into BWI.
Our History
In 1985 Marwan Moheyeldien and his partners started a company named “Louisiana Cajun Cuisine” by mid 1986 and due to the Cajun craze and the America’s Change of taste “Louisiana Cajun Cuisine “ was able to become a major Mfg and supplier of high end frozen Cajun entrée dinners.
By 1991 “Louisiana Cajun Cuisine” was sold and Petra Foods was created. Petra Foods Intl. Inc become Mfg and packer of many brand. Royal Duchess, Soho Beverage, Global Spice, Nanna’s Cookies, Nanna’s Kitchen, Bakers Pride and Naturaw.
It is during this period that Marwan Moheyeldien and the company had to learn and change format to become a high speed production packaging facility.
From 1991and through 2002 Petra Foods operated its facility out of Beltsville Maryland in a small entry level facility that was not capable of producing the quality or the quantity needed to support the market.
In 2002 after visiting some of the largest Co-Packers in the country and in Europe Marwan Moheyeldien decided to start a new company that was primarily a contract packer. A brand new facility was needed to achieve a quality control that was second to none. A new building in Elkridge Maryland was chosen and a brand new facility was built from ground up. Individual packaging rooms were built as to the strategic partners needs and Maryland Packaging LTD set sail.
Marwan Moheyeldien understood that there is only one recipe for success and that recipe was one that stood the test of time. Quality, Customer Service, Speed and Pricing.
Quality:
In order to achieve the best quality control Maryland Packaging LTD. Hired one of the foremost authorities and knowledge individuals. Tim Lamdin was asked to join the company and gracefully accepted the position of Director of operations. Tim joined us in the very early stages and brought 30 years experience. Tim was Vice President with Elite Spice and has an incredible philosophy when it comes to quality. Tim was a pioneering force in insisting everyone in management has to have a quality control background . Tim’s favorite saying “the best product is one that never comes back”.
Tim Lamdin also has extensive experience in production.
Customer Service:
Maryland Packaging and all it employees are trained on weekly basis on how to understand our customers needs and how to respond to them. Our philosophy is very simple “if we do not know the answer, we will find out and let you know”. Our computer systems are in the process of upgrading to be able to track our customers orders from the moment we receive a PO until the client receives the product. WE ANSWER OUR PHONES AND WE RETURN OUR CALLS. No customer shall ever be denied the courtesy or the pleasure of communication (even if is bad news)
Speed:
We understand that no one has a crystal ball to determine their product needs and we believe that it is our responsibility as your strategic partner, to worry about your success, since your success is directly related to ours. We will do everything humanly possible to expedite your order and not burden you the client with any production issues. WE ONLY MAKE MONEY WHEN WE MAKE IT AND SHIP IT
Pricing:
It is our duty and responsible financial obligation to assist our strategic partners in obtaining the best ingredients, products and packaging materials at the best price and the highest quality.
