Earlier today I dragged a friend of mine to CompUSA because I needed to buy a new mouse pad. Yes, I realize they aren't cool anymore and that they are outdated - but regardless, I like a nice smooth surface with a great little gel pad to support my wrist.

Anyway, after my quest ended (I ended up purchasing a mouse pad that was the "Manager's Special" - only $2.98 - with a gel wrist support! Score!) we started to play around with the iMacs. She has yet to come over from the "dark side," so like any other Mac missionary out there, I started to show her all the awesome applications and things you could do on an iMac. I showed her GarageBand (there was a keyboard hooked up to the iMac), iDVD, iMovie HD, iPhoto.. etc. After that spectacle ended, I launched Photo Booth for a little candid fun. We took some pictures, and amidst the chaos that ensued I took a few Warhol-inspired pictures of the both of us. Well, after our photo shoot ended, all she could say was "Geez, I really wish we could keep those pictures... they're awesome." Sadly, she attempted to open Mail and thought she could send it to herself, but alas, when she realized all the effort and time required to set up a new account, she quickly stopped.

Then I began thinking. Success!

I ended up compressing all our photos from that photo shoot into a .zip archive (after I dragged-and-dropped the appropriate files on the desktop), and directed Safari to Yousendit.com . I fill in the required fields, attached the file, and away it went! I sent it to myself and to her e-mail address - and it worked flawelessly.

Needless to say, she was impressed. I was quite pleased as well.

After that, we proceeded to take even more pictures - and since we could actually send it to ourselves, it served a purpose. It was a blast.
