These Russian guys are amazing! It's like watching a real life Spider-man* but without the costume or the web shooting.

WOW!

Parkour is amazing, although extremely dangerous. I never understood how they could ever practice stuff like jumping 15 feet off a ledge, and throw a backflip in.

I don't know what happened. The thing just got stuck it seems. So I hit it and hit it then quit it and added an icon and hit it some more. Sigh. Is there a problem with my computer or did I try to go thru the revolving door at the same time someone else was trying and we cancelled each other out or what? I sure don't know.

Haha!

What is 2000 + V?

These freestyle walker guys are cool. It's a wonder they don't break their ankles or other things on some of these moves.

Thanks for the link, erik! It shows the same video but that thread also features links to other sites about this phenomenon called "Parkour."

My family and I practice a form of parkour. We park our asses on the sofa and watch TV.

Yes, it's called parkour and I've found a few more videos of parkour but because the practitioners aren't as good as the Russian guy here (including videos of the FOUNDER of the 'sport,' David Belle of Paris) I won't post most of them.

But here is a guy who reminds me of the Russian fellow in style and imagination and ability. Watch when he descends from the top of a very tall (scary tall) building by climbing down the side of it. It's really impressive and reminds me of the Russian. This guy is Latvian and for all I know it MAY BE the same guy as above.

I only found this video yesterday but I feel immediately taken with the sport. It reminds me of the good old days. Although I never dreamed of doing things like this!

But on topic... that last time he came over a wall and rolled down a car was pretty cool.

This is a great video of parkour originator, David Belle, in what looks like a movie chase scene.
It's pretty exciting, too! Remember when movies used cars and motorcycles and boats for chase scenes, well this may be what's next. Also, take note of the final building he descends from
and note in the second link, a documentary video clip of Belle, the final building he descends from in 15 seconds is the same one from the first link.

Great stuff!

These are the best ones I'm finding as I search the Google Video site.

I'm uninformed. What does that mean, "timeline?"

When some people see something posted that they have seen before on the internet, they post either a "timeline" image, or just a quick post to say "timeline"... meaning that they have seen it before, and therefore they rock and the thread starter is behind the times.

The same couple of people do it a LOT.

You are quite welcomed!

I am amazed at how addicting I find them to be. I remember jumping off the garage roof and climbing up the side of our house and diving through windows and stuff when I was in my teens and 20's but this is really great!

This one looks as though it was shot in the USA. But the music sounds French and the traceur* looks a bit like David Belle. This chase scene also reminds me of the other chase scene that he was in.

This has a real 'produced' feel to it. 3 minutes and change is the minimum length AFAIC for a parkour video and this one meets the standard. It has a good music bg. There's titles and credits. The camerawork is good. On a few occasions the camera lingers on passerby reactions, which is part of the fun of parkour I'd imagine. The editing doesn't call attention to itself. The producers even have a logo that works. All in all commendable and that's why I'm posting it here. The traceur, Jamie Guy, is only average. But good enough.
