Online Banking Security Certificate

Question for the experts here.

For the past month now my Mac has been complaining about my online bank's certificate cannot be verified either with Firefox or Safari. I've looked at the certificate and I do not see anything wrong with it. However, when I access the website from my Windows computer I do not get the certificate error and the site works just fine.

Why would all the Macs in my houes get this error but none of my Windows systems do?

Of course as soon as I post this thread, the certificate errors stopped.
