Anybody ever do this or can you point me to a place that did?

A friend gave me a 512MB stick of PC133 ECC ram (18 chips). It won't work in my G4 (or any other machine I have), but is there a way to remove the extra two chips and the ECC circuitry to turn it into a regular non-ECC stick? I have the resources to do this. I can even get my hands on small SMD components (caps) if I need to populate something it needs.

Anybody? Otherwise, I have to ebay the stick or trade it for one.

I'm a bird. I am the 1% (of pets).

No.

I'd eBay it; ECC usually fetches a higher price than non-ECC.
