Digital Playground Chooses Blu-ray Format

VAN NUYS, Calif. — While the battle is far from over between Blu-ray Disc and HD-DVD in the next-generation formatting wars, Digital Playground announced today it will release its products on Blu-ray Disc, making it the first adult studio to take a firm stand on the issue.

“They’re pretty similar in every other way,” Joone said. “We went with Blu-ray because storage and security are the main issues for us.”

The company’s first releases in Blu-ray formatting will follow the release of PS3, most likely beginning with “Fever Island 3” and “Pirates.”

Ironically, their releases seem to already have "HD DVD":

Most DVD porn is region-free and lacks CSS encryption, yet the big movie companies certainly didn't swing that way. Methinks this war still has yet to be won.

My concern is that my large DVD collection will remain compatible. A decision needs to be made, should take the lead of VHS.

Pirates looks so tight. I haven't watched any porn dvd's in years but I might have to scoop that one up. It's supposed to be big-budget porn. Dunno if it's as good as Chameleons 2 but I aim to find out.

Those two movies seem to feature Plastic Porn Clones #4756775-#4756782

Seriously folks, looking at those covers you can only come to the conclusion that they are grown in a lab.

Yes, as others have said, your pr0n DVD collection will be just fine. Both Blu-ray and HD-DVD players will be backwards compatible with pr0n DVDs.

How do I grow my own? Are other clones widely available?

Not so fast...

Vivid to back both HD-DVD and Blu-ray

And as we said already, those disc box covers for Digital Playground show HD-DVD on the cover already.

Yeah, all it does is make the Encyclopedia Britannica look bad AS WELL.
