JayKay my 3 year old Devon Rex breed:

and at a few months old:

Very cute looking dude, bit different from your normal cat with his big ears and weird fur. Is very loving and needs lots of attention.

He is a house cat, hence the top pic shows him in the garden with a lead on!!

Thanks for the cat pics everyone. I *love* cats, they rock.
No pics of my lot (still haven't been bothered to buy a camera), but add another "Squeaky" to the collection!

Little Maya only five weeks old. We were lucky to have a friend that was giving away kittens and my wife only wanted orange tabbies. We already had Jack. He was rescued from the local shelter the day before his number was up. Lucky for him he was the only orange tabby in the place. He's a great cat. Takes care of all the bugs. Warns us of visitors at the door and if something just isn't right. He warned my wife when a pair of roasting potatoes were starting to burn. When he meows and tries hard to get our attention we listen.

One of my favorite images of them. Heard lots of mini-me jokes.

Now she's nearly 10 months old and nearly as big as when we first brought Jack to our house.

I'd really like to get a Savannah at some point. Of course, since I'm lucky to live in Grass Valley, CA, I can actually get an exotic pet license for an actual great cat.

But I'd probably just go with an Ocelot.

Wilson, when he was just a kitten.

He did like my laptop a bit too much.

I put my sister's cat in the basket, and Wilson found it too much fun to play around with. Murphy (the dog) was a bit weirded out by the cats as usual.

Savannahs and Ocelots are cool - but did you ever think about a Bengal? Ours is sooo friendly!

My cat Shadow - chillin on the chair. he likes to spend his days sleeping, eating, laying in the sun, and chewing on things he shouldn't - he can be a bastard cat but my wife & I still love him. even when he eats holes in sweaters & scarfs. i got him about 5 1/2 years ago from the shelter. i always wanted an orange tabby (like the ones above) because i grew up with one but now that we have shadow - if we ever decide to get another cat he/she will be black also.

This is Marcella:

I'm not sure what breed she is, but shes about 4 years old. Her mother was a stray that we adopted for a few months (we stuck posters up and notified the pounds that we'd found her) who had kittens while she was with us. When her owners finally found her, they were so grateful that they left us with Marcella as a thank you (and as they would be selling the kittens anyway). Shes a very pretty cat who doesn't really like human company, but is loving when she's in the mood.

Why do cats have such a fetish for cardboard boxes? Is there some evolutionary explanation for it?
