People speak of athletes, for example, of being in THE ZONE when they deliver an extraordinary performance.
I'm no great athlete, never really was. But I once was playing frisbee on an inclosed tennis court right after smoking pot and my buddies swore they'd never seen me or anyone ever perform as impressively. I caught everything sent my way and it was the zone in athletics.
Then I was at work and was working on this project for a client and they were so impressed that afterwards I realized during that assignment I was in the zone.
How about you? Ever been in the zone? When and where? What and how?

Yeah, at work, but it usually doesn't last 5 minutes before I get interrupted.

I felt it once or Twice playing Tennis, once playing b-ball, and a couple of times creatively.
Its almost creepy. Like a temporary god-mode on whatever you're doing.

6 or 7 years ago in grade 12 in high school. We played another gym class, and for some reason we had a bunch of skinny white and Indian guys, and they had all big black dudes. It was the funniest thing. Anyways, it was my first time at this new school so I guess I had something to prove. I was kinda nuts. I couldn't miss. It was like Kobe against the Raptors, except the Raptors were twice his size.
I've done it a couple times snowboarding too. I just ride alpine, but every once and a while things come together perfectly, and I can absolutely rip. I've gotten to the bottom of Lake Louise and had 4 ski patrollers show up 30 seconds later to give me a warning about going too fast.

A few times. Only a couple actual sporting moments but definitely at work and a few times playing video games. It is by far the coolest feeling.
Any one in the zone RIGHT NOW??

yup.
Frequently back in the volleyball days - felt you jumped higher, moved faster than the opponents. Actually had a few occaisions where I felt I was in the air longer.. like I had time to pick my spots.
Golf - basically can hit it a mile without really trying. Can't seem to miss shots... even bad shots end up in the right places. You end up pin seeking on those days regardless of where its cut. But this occurance is very rare...... golf is ...mentally HARD.
Of course, there were also times when you felt the opposite - in the slump.
