Hey, i'm working on a project that I'd like to light up with a small cold cathode tube, kinda like in modded PC cases. however, it won't be a computer. So I don't have a 12 volt source... does anybody know of any cathode kits that just have a 'brick' you can plug into a wall? I need to buy some.

Thanks!

Well, I know they make glow wire that has either cigerette lighter/12 volt or AC plug connections, so don't know why they wouldn't make neon and cathode tubes do the same.

Down toward the bottom of this page is someone who did what you are trying to do: power 12v cathode with an AC to DC power adapter. He/She did it themselves.
