Today Oprah acknowledges that the author of the book A Million Little Pieces "duped" her.

Personally, I'm glad that she is addressing this issue. I was shocked when she came forward to say that she didn't really care if the book was not truthful or not when the premise is that it is 100% true.

to Oprah.

I know that there are a lot of you that still don't care about whether or not a supposed non-fiction book is filled with fictional events, but a lot of people do care.

Just for the record, I've never read a single book she's recommended on her show or by herself. Some of them I've read on my own, such as Zora Neale Hurston's works, which she then later recommended, but I've never read a book because she said to.

Aaaarrgh. I was thinking the same thing.

I didn't think Cody would really start a new thread, as I jokingly told her to...

It's probably one of the best Oprah shows ever.

The amazing thing is that James Frey admits that, basically, EVERYTHING is a lie. Oprah Winfrey acknowledges that the truth is paramount in a "memoir."

Anyway, the original thread is closed or I'd have put it there.

That is a man of honor to admit that he lied in public.

Hi Cody, please chat or can I call you tonight?

This thread could have been 3/4ths down the page by now, but you all just can't keep your nose out of it. You've just got to feel big, don't you.

Yeah, I do too, I guess. The first thing I though when I saw that title was, "what doesn't Cody get?". Oh well, I didn't have to post either, but I did. I'm just weak.

You are deluded if you think this. More like a man under extreme pressure by the lady that made him millions and a public that wants answers. Sometimes when you are cornered, there is no where to run....don't confuse that with Honor. It's called desperation.

Who GIVES A ****!?! The guy lied and made money on a book. That's MUCH MUCH MUCH better than most politicians and I don't see Oprah's fat ass going after them.

I do think it took big kahunas to go on her show and admit that he lied.

I do respect him for that. Much more than remaining silent.

Still won't buy his piece of crap pack of lies book, but it was good that he told the truth...450 pages later.
