...and I missed it — twice! I was really looking forward to seeing it, and the day just got away from me. oh well...

I read the summary on the Oprah web site (I've never visited the Oprah site before, and I rarely watch the show, so this is departure for me), and it looks like I missed a good thing. But hey, it'll be rebroadcast soon, but I'll probably find a torrent well before then.

For anyone who has seen it, what are your thoughts?

A friend of mine was just telling me about it. I'm off to find the torrent. I hope he's not crazy and will come back for more seasons.

It would probably still be my favorite show if I hadn't seen every episode 47 times. I saw him at Charlie Goodnight's in Raleigh. Hilarryus

I looked at chappelletheory.com, and then put it together with the Oprah interview... damn! I could not stop laughing. I'm starting to think dave may be behind that site, and this entire drama was a big practical joke at our expense — more material for his show. at least that's what I hope.

Steve Martin is hosting SNL this week.

And Prince performs.

Not a big fan of his style of music, but he is a musical genius.

And ONE HELL of a guitar player. He is one of the most underrated guitar players out in the music business.

i think there will be more episodes. comedy central thought $50 million was worth it, then getting him back with changes to the production of his show will be a no-brainer

but maybe not for a year or two

Steve Martin is awesome. Prince and I have the same birthday, and I've been a fanatic of his since "Dirty Mind."

You and I also have the same birthday then. Along with Napoleon, I believe.

EDIT: Prince IS an excellent and highly underrated guitar player. He does it so effortlessly.

Actually they seem to be less underrated now than before. He is really getting known for being a guitarist in a Hendrix sort of way.

But the guy can play about any instrument. He is a musical genius.

I thought Dave did a really bad job getting his side of the story out and came off sounding crazy and petty. It was very obvious that we weren't getting the whole story. Oprah was really letting him off easy as well. He kept talking in circles and repeating himself and she didn't call him on it or press him for real answers. I was pretty disappointed with the interview.

My sig is 1 pixel too big.

She went to the Larry King School of Interviewing, but with a twist. When it serves her, she'll beat up on someone without the power to get their point out or verbally challenge her. When the interview subject is a star, she'll kiss his/her ass and fawn all over them.

Oprah sucks!

Did you (or anyone else) see the skit with Steve Martin being booked for a stand-up gig at a Hamas convention? On the wall there was an Islamic crescent moon symbol in a big round frame. Along with the crescent was a picture of a full-faced scruffy bearded guy who looked strangely like George Clooney. I never saw Syriana and I'm wondering if that was Clooney's picture.

Didn't he gain weight for that role? And was the film flattering to the Hamas cause?

I enjoyed the skit on Saturday Night Live.
