Tonight's Colbert Report:

"A man is sueing over hearing loss from playing the iPod at its highest volume, even though this warning is printed clearly in the manual.

They really need to include a warning for the Video iPod too, saying that it is unsafe to tape the iPod to the bill of your baseball cap so that you can watch the latest Toby Keith video while driving your car".

*cue picture of Colbert driving with iPod hat*

I thought it was funny....

MAN! I Thought this thread was about someone FINALLY making a suit completely out of iPods!

Nevermind!
"Altruism is killing America. We who want to save America must repudiate this killer, root and branch. We must understand and explain to others that the acceptance of altruism necessitates the violation of individual rights... and that the arguments for altruism are baseless..."

I'll have to catch that clip when they re-play The Daily Show & Colbert Report at midnight (central time)

On a local news station here in Austin, they're running a commericial about a special report they're doing tomorrow evening over "Hearing Loss and your MP3 player." They're trying to make it sound so general - but guess what? The commercial has a bunch of black-silouetted figures dancing around amidst a variety of brightly-colored backgrounds. I wonder which mp3 player they're referring to?

Darn... now if only I had a kid to dress in that sort of thing.

Oh well, back to the classroom for me. Maybe I`ll swing by a nursery and pick up a kid on the way home.

Haha. I loved the Russ Lieber appearance.

"Wait, wait, I can still hear him. I think he's coming through over my mic. CUT OFF MY MIC TOO!"

The only problem with good satire is that some people don't realize it.

If Colbert is a White House shill then I'm Steve Jobs' steak dinner.

These just kill me. I mean sure if the ipod spiked volume up so high it damaged your hearing and you had no time to yank the earbuds you could sue but ear damage takes time. I can't believe there's anyone who doesn't know loud volume hurts ears. Or do they know it but just choose not to care until it happens to them then they need to sue? He could hang it from his cap and offroad his car and take himself out of the gene pool I guess

Whatever persona he chose to adopt in battling with Lieber is surely false. In many sketches they poke fun of Bush and his shortcomings, and Colbert makes the jokes very unapologetically.

Trust me, he's definitely not a Neo-con shill.

Dude. He's joking. You may remember "Lieber" from such television shows as...Mr. Show, and Arrested Development.
