i watched this with a coworker several times today, and being the skeptic that i am, i'm kind of doubtful about the authenticity of this.
theres just something about how the body is tossed and lands. i'm not sure exactly how wide a highway lane is, but it almost seems like the body looks short. when the black car runs the person over (it looks a lot like a car, and not a truck), it drags the body for a bit, but doesnt seem to bump over it like i would expect a car to.
obviously it looks really damned real. the SUV rolling and hitting the median is obviously real. and the camera following the body being ejected seems natural (ie, if the body ejecting was faked, and we belive the footage of the SUV crashing to be real, why would the cameraman film that section of the highway).
i do think its real. im just a touch skeptical.

What's the story behind this? Was he running from the cops?

The width of a standard highway lane is 12'. Looks real to me, but then again, I didn't look at it that critically.

Assuming a 12' lane, the body appears to be between 5' and 6' in height. I seriously doubt this is fake.

Well, the file wouldn't play from Safari, so I got the link:
http://x100.putfile.com/videos/c6-3308113631.wmv just put that in WMP.
It really does make rag doll physics in games look believable, wow. Poor guy. I'm impressed everyone in the oncoming lanes reacted so well.

I think it's great that MS offers that Flip4Mac plugin but it would be cool if it actually worked like it should. I can only see one corner of most WMVs. I always have to download the file to disk to open it up in QTplayer.

It sorta doesn't matter if this specific bit is real or not, as this kind of thing does happen in reality, all the time, every day.
Like the title says, "wear your seat belts." Do it.

The only good thing is that the person was probably at least completely unconscious, maybe even dead, before being run over by the black car. Yes, that looked 100% real.
In the Air Force they often provided extremely graphic pictures of car wrecks to shock people inti paying attention. This was much less graphic than some of what I've seen.
